Seriously. The one thing we all have in common is that we love to read fantasy & romance and want to surround ourselves with people who actually want to talk about it. Age, stage of life, occupation, reading speed…NONE OF IT MATTERS HERE. We’re just a bunch of bookworms escaping reality together.

We read, we yap, we listen, we don’t judge.

Whether you read one book per month or fifteen, the squad is in Discord, ready to yap and listen without judgment. We have channels for current reads, events, TBRs, craft corner, small biz connections, and more! There’s no pressure to participate or show up as anything other than yourself.

Whether you’re here for one month of perks and feral reader shenanigans or want to be a lifer (Just kidding, there’s no option for that. Although you may find that this feels like the community you’ve been missing!) You’re welcome to come as you are and stay as long as you’d like.

FAQs

  • The membership fee is $25 and is automatically drafted each month until you cancel. This is an active club, with so much time, love, and effort put in to make it the best experience for our members. The membership fee covers two monthly meetups, Discord membership, and allows us to offer all of the bookstore and event perks we currently have available to our members.

  • There are no long-term commitments. You can log in and cancel at any time. Perks and retreats are only for members who have an active membership.

  • We offer two meetups per month, one is our book club meetup on the second Saturday and the other is our member meetup on the last Thursday.

    The Saturday morning book club meetup is a more casual gathering to chat about our book club BOTM, upcoming events, and what’s new in the romantasy world.

    The last Thursday evening meetup is a larger gathering where we have a featured vendor pop-up, influential guest speaker, or activity. We’ll talk about current reads and upcoming events while making new friends and checking in with old ones.

    If you can’t make a meetup, that’s okay! Our Discord channel is always filled with book chats and yapping amongst friends.

  • You don’t need to be! You can sign up for The Ember Circle simply for the member community and the perks! You’ll have all access to our Discord channel and book club discussions, you can come to our bookish retreats, attend virtual author events, use your store discounts online, and get member-only presale windows for events.

  • Our meetups are held at venues around town, mostly at Azalea Station or other venues around the Cargo District, in close proximity to the bookstore.

    Venues will be announced prior to each meetup and will be communicated via Discord.
