A free ‍ ‍women-only virtual book club run by Burning Pages Bookstore.

We’re all just a bunch of book nerds.

Seriously. The one thing we all have in common is that we love to read fantasy & romance and want to connect with people who actually want to talk about it. Age, stage of life, occupation, reading speed…NONE OF IT MATTERS HERE. We’re just a bunch of bookworms and women with too much feminine rage escaping reality together.

We read, we yap, we listen, we don’t judge.

Whether you read one book per month or fifteen, the squad is ready to yap and listen without judgment. We have discussions on current reads, TBRs, upcoming releases, and more! There’s no pressure to participate or show up as anything other than yourself. We have a private Discord server where it all goes down.

Retreats are in your future!

We’ll plan a yearly retreat that book club members are invited to attend. It may be local to Wilmington, NC or elsewhere in North Carolina! You get to meet the feral readers you’ve been connecting with over Discord in real life and enjoy hanging with your squad in a comfortable, reader-focused atmosphere.

  • The Burning Pages Booksellers will pick a mix of indie and trad titles as our featured BOTM. You can discuss the BOTM in Discord with other members.

  • The opportunity to connect with like-minded women, chat in a safe space, and make friends who all share a love of reading and romantasy.

  • Yearly retreats give members the opportunity to meet and hang with their squad in real life! Retreats will happen once per year and will be in and round North Carolina.
